NOTICE: Class is limited to a maximum of 25 attendees. All attendees should have had experience loading and firing a handgun safely. (If not, consider our free Introduction to Handgun Class which is offered a few weeks before the next CCW Class) Initial applications will be made on-line.

Applicants will be notified by email to forward a $25.00 non-refundable deposit to reserve their class opening. Do not send deposit until notified. Initially the request will be immediate.

COURSE FEE: TOTAL – $100.00 ($75.00 balance payable @ the Friday, September 6th class)

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Friday, September 6 – Class begins @ 6:00pm until 10:00pm. (No firearms needed).

Saturday, September 7 – Class begins @ 8:am SHARP until finish. (Firearms and ammunition are needed)

Lunch on Saturday is included

Huron County Sheriff’s Office Conceal Carry Permit & Background Check Notification

In an effort to simplify the process for citizens to obtain their Concealed Carry Permit, Sheriff Howard has created new hours, effective today, July 29, 2013.
New Hours: (No Appointment Needed & Excluding Holidays)
Monday – 12noon – 7pm ; Tuesday, Thursday and Friday – 9am – 3pm. Also, the 1st Saturday of each month, hours will be open from 8am – 11am.

Each application takes about 10 – 20 minutes. Money Order or Cashier’s Check only. All fees are non-refundable.
Fees: New permit – Ohio resident for 5 years or more – $67
New permit – Ohio resident less than 5 years – $91
Renewals – Ohio resident 5 years or more – $50
Renewals – Ohio resident less than 5 years – $74
Replacement for lost permits and Emergency Permits are available – please call for more information.

Items required for Applications are the following:
Completed current application with all previous addresses from the age 18 up; Picture ID (Ohio DL or State ID); New Applicants – original copy of training certificate that includes attest clause stating training meets ORC requirements ; Renewal Applicants – copy of training certificate or previous conceal carry permit; a color photo taken within last 30 days; and money order/cashiers check.

BACKGROUND CHECKS:
Background (Webchecks) will also be done during the CCW hours listed above. Bring driver’s license and cashiers check/money order for $30 for either BCI or FBI or $60 for both.
