DESCRIPTION:This event is open to the public\, hunters and locavores who would like to know how to process their own deer kill and also how to preserve their game as well as tasting a few wild game dishes and offerings from Ohio’s wildlife. Recognizing the latest farm to table movement\, the FCL and Division of Wildlife District 2 will partner to conduct these clinics. Trained outdoor skills specialists from the Division of Wildlife District 2 office and the FCL will cover topics including field dressing\, skinning\, butchering and packaging a whitetail deer. DESCRIPTION:The event will begin with a discussion the variety of archery equipment types with an emphasis on equipment normally used for hunting in Ohio as well as target shooting. We will conclude the classroom portion of the day with a safety briefing as well as how to select and purchase the right archery equipment and accessories. \nThe participants will be individually mentored by experienced club volunteers on the archery range. Crossbows and compound bows will be provided\, you are allowed to bring your own bow also. \nFuture range dates for practice at the club will be scheduled for those that attend this class. \nThis is a free no cost event open to the public.
