This class is ideal for those looking to travel to other states that require a Concealed Handgun License (CHL) or for individuals who want to learn about Ohio’s new constitutional carry laws. It includes comprehensive firearm knowledge instruction, range time, and a test to qualify you to apply for your Ohio Concealed Handgun License.

The CHL class will run until 4:00 PM, as mandated by Ohio law

The class meets Ohio’s legal requirements of at least 8 hours of certified training, which includes:

• Safe Handgun Handling & Storage: Learn the rules for safely handling handguns and storing both firearms and ammunition.
• Ammunition Safety: Understand how to handle ammunition safely.
• Shooting Competency: Develop the skills and knowledge to shoot a handgun safely.
• Gun Handling Training: In-depth training on how to handle firearms responsibly.
• Practical Training: You must complete 2 hours of practical training, which includes live-fire range time.
• Examination: You will take a written test covering the rules for safe handgun handling, storage, and ammunition. Additionally, there will be a physical demonstration of competency, assessing your ability to handle a handgun safely and shoot with the correct attitude and technique.
