Youth, Scouts, Parents & Leaders – Archery, Trap, and Rifle Day – Saturday, May 21, 2016

Fitchville Conservation League volunteer instructors hosted the Scouts from Elyria and Norwalk and their parents and leaders for a morning of  Archery,  Trap Shooting, Rifle and Pistol shooting.  The morning started out a bit after 9:00AM with a Firearms Safety Presentation by Instructor Wayne Kiser.  A group photo for the webpage was taken.  Then the group went to one of the four stations, Trap shooting with a shot gun (20 or 12 guage), rifle shooting at steel targets with a 22 cl, pistol shooting at steel targets, and archery at 3D targets (A bear and a deer.)  Each station had a FCL Member volunteer instructor to monitor the activities. Everyone had an opportunity to participate in each of the activities.  At noon the group broke for lunch provided by FCL and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.  The event dismissed at 1:00PM.  A good time was had by all.

Quotes

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

A quote by Jeff Cooper, “Owning a handgun doesn’t make you armed any more than owning a guitar makes you a musician.”
