NOTICE:  All attendees should have had experience loading and firing a handgun safely.  Initial applications will be made on-line.

COURSE FEE: TOTAL – $75.00 payable at the beginning of the Saturday, Oct 20th, 2018 class.


Saturday, Oct 20th, 2018- Class begins @ 8:00 am SHARP until finish.

(Firearms and ammunition are needed)

Each applicant is asked to bring their own eye and ear protection. If you have none, FCL will have it available. In addition, each attendee will need to bring 100 rounds of “practice ammunition”(mandatory), and 10 rounds of “carry ammunition”- (not mandatory). We request you train with the firearm and holster you intend to carry.

This Online Registration is very important to assist us in planning so that we have adequate staff on hand to provide individual coaching and a safe environment.  In addition, registration is also helpful in ensuring that we have enough food prepared for the entire class.”  The $75 fee will be collected at the beginning of the class.

Ohio law requires at least 8 hours of certified training in the following

• The ability to name, explain, and demonstrate the rules for safe
handling of a handgun and proper storage practices for handguns
and ammunition;
• The ability to demonstrate and explain how to handle ammunition
in a safe manner;
• The ability to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and attitude
necessary to shoot a handgun in a safe manner;
• Gun-handling training.

Included in the 8 hours, you must have two hours of practical training, including range time and live-fire experience. The applicant also must complete and pass an examination that tests  competency. The test must include a written section on the ability to name and explain the rules for the safe handling of a handgun and proper storage practices for handguns and ammunition. Additionally, the exam must include a physical demonstration of competency on handgun usage and rules for safe handling and storage of a handgun. It also must require a physical demonstration of the attitude necessary to shoot a handgun in a safe manner.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Please visit our club during any of our scheduled events during the month of October and donate. All proceeds will be donated to breast cancer awareness.

We will have prizes awarded during our fun trap shoots and a special ladies pistol action shoot on Tuesday October 23rd.
